The “Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary is speaking out this week to slam the recent decision by a New York judge to fine the former President Donald Trump a staggering $355 million, describing it as “un-American.”
O’Leary Slams Trump Ruling
Last Friday, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron hit Trump with this fine and banned from conducting business in his native New York for three years. This didn’t sit well with O’Leary, who immediately spoke out to torch the decision.
“That fact that he was found guilty, you might as well find guilty every real estate developer on Earth,” O’Leary told The New York Post. “I don’t understand where someone got hurt … What developer doesn’t ask for the highest price valued for any building they built?”
“It’s not healthy for the country,” he continued. “I want this reviewed and appealed and turned over because it’s wrong for everybody that participates. If this judgment sticks. Every developer must be jailed. They must be found guilty. They must be put out of business. You can’t do this to one another. It’s not about Trump.”
“It’s appalling. It’s unjust. I would go as far to say it’s un-American,” O’Leary added.
Not stopping there, O’Leary ripped New York as a “loser state,” predicting a mass exodus of businesses from the state if the decision holds.
“We’re just stunned. You have no idea. The shock wave sent through the real estate industry. Insane,” he concluded.
O’Leary previously told CNN, “I don’t think this thing will ever survive appeal regardless of what the fine is. This doesn’t even make sense.”

Trump Rips Ruling
Trump himself has blasted the ruling as well.
“A Crooked New York State Judge, working with a totally Corrupt Attorney General who ran on the basis of ‘I will get Trump,’ before knowing anything about me or my company, has just fined me $355 Million based on nothing other than having built a GREAT COMPANY. ELECTION INTERFERENCE. WITCH HUNT,” Trump said in response, according to WSAU.
Trump went on to say that the judge’s decision was “a Complete and Total SHAM,” adding that “there were No Victims, No Damages, No Complaints. Only satisfied Banks and Insurance Companies (which made a ton of money), GREAT Financial Statements, that didn’t even include the most valuable Asset – The TRUMP Brand, IRONCLAD Disclaimers (Buyer Beware, and Do your Own Due Diligence), and amazing Properties all over the World.”

Trump’s Lawyer Speaks Out
Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba indicated that they will appeal, describing the decision as “a manifest injustice—plain and simple and given the grave stakes, we trust that the Appellate Division will overturn this egregious verdict and end this relentless persecution against my clients.”
It was reported last month that this case is the first of its kind since there were no official victim or crime listed in the lawsuit due to banks being paid back loans, and nobody taking on losses in the deals. Many see it as yet another witch hunt against Trump launched in a liberal city with the goal of stopping him from being reelected later this year.
It’s rare that any public figure defends Trump in any way, so we applaud O’Leary for having the guts to speak out against this un-American decision. In the end, this ruling will likely only make Trump stronger, as it only makes it more obvious that he really is being targeted unfairly by the left!
