A recent survey of presidential scholars and historians ranked Joe Biden as the 14th best president in American history. Yes, you read that right – 14th.
Biden’s presidency has been marked by numerous crises, from the border crisis to the Afghanistan withdrawal disaster, not to mention the ongoing economic challenges.
Biden has consistently ranked as having one of the lowest approval ratings in the nation’s history.
And yet, the 2024 Presidential Greatness Project Expert Survey, developed by the American Political Science Association, somehow ranked the current President in the top third of a list of top Presidents. He is essentially in a tie with Founding Father and America’s second President, John Adams.
Biden ranks ahead of Woodrow Wilson (15), Ronald Reagan (16), and Ulysses S. Grant (17).
President Donald Trump ranked dead last in the survey at 45th.

Who Is The Best President?
It doesn’t take long to realize that the list of Best Presidents provided by the American Political Science Association is a complete joke.
There isn’t much to quarrel with at the very top, as Abraham Lincoln is ranked as the nation’s top President. But George Washington, the first President of the United States, a military general, and a Founding Father known for his leadership during the American Revolution and his role in establishing the United States, dropped to third in the survey.
Coming in at second now is Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the progressive standard bearer.
Other odd notes include President Jimmy Carter at a fairly impressive top-half showing (22). Carter is often viewed as one of the worst presidents in our nation’s history, ranking consistently at the bottom of surveys alongside James Buchanan and Andrew Johnson.
Buchanan and Johnson in this survey rank above Trump at 44th and 43rd respectively. Buchanan slow-walked the country into the Civil War that Lincoln had to guide America through. Johnson was the first president to be impeached.
Barack Obama is ranked as the 7th best president in American history.

Ranked Trump As The Worst Just One Year Into His Presidency
This survey of best presidents, broken down by the ideology of respondents, demonstrates an even more absurd claim when it comes to Biden.
Democrats rank him 13th according to the American Political Science Association findings. Republicans and conservatives separately rank him 30th. It seems far-fetched that conservatives would or could name 15 other Presidents worse than Biden.
It’s also important to note that these same “experts” are going to assist in the writing of our future history books.
The survey seems like a desperate attempt to make Biden more palatable to the American people leading into the 2024 presidential election.
While they rank Biden as significantly better than Trump, the current President has consistently ranked well below his predecessor in approval rating and is losing in most 2024 election polls.
In fact, a good chunk of Democrats themselves don’t even think that Biden should stay in the race. Yet we’re supposed to believe he’s in the top 15 in American history.
The same American Political Science Association survey of experts in 2018 ranked President Trump as the worst in history even though he had only been in the White House for one full year.
