Senator Lindsey Graham disclosed that he will not sign on to any further aid for Ukraine until some sort of border security measures are funded first.
Graham (R-SC) alluded to that fact during an interview with CNN host Dana Bash on Sunday.
The senator told Bash that Republicans and Democrats alike are unified in their support for Israel, but the GOP is divided on how to proceed on funding for Ukraine.
“Republicans are 100 percent behind strong border security,” he claimed. “If you want aid to Ukraine, we need to control our southern border.”
“So I will not vote for any aid until we secure our own border. Reform asylum, reform parole. It’s possible to do. Democrats don’t want to do it. All Republicans want to do it,” he concluded.
“I’m not helping Ukraine until we help ourselves.”

Lindsey Graham: No More Aid to Ukraine Until the Border is Addressed
Lindsey Graham’s sudden bout with moral clarity is quite a shock since he’s been advocating for all forms of war in multiple countries over the past several months – Ukraine being the most noteworthy.
Graham endorsed the assassination of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the early days of the war and later pushed to establish a no-fly zone in Ukraine.
A no-fly zone was widely viewed as a move signaling the start of a global war effort.
Just two short months ago he offered intense support for continuing to provide aid to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claiming, “If we pull the plug on Ukraine, that’s 10 times worse than Afghanistan.”
“To stop funding Ukraine is a death sentence for Taiwan,” Graham continued before telling any Republicans who wish to halt funding: “You’re wrong.”
To hear him suddenly put a condition that benefits America first is breathtaking.

Full-Throated Support for Israel’s War Effort
As is often the case with Senator Lindsey Graham, there is some good and some bad to be taken from his latest commentary on world events.
While pulling back on aid to Ukraine, Graham also backed Israel’s war effort and shrugged his shoulders at any civilian casualties suffered by Palestine.
“Did the American public worry about how many people were dying to destroy Tokyo and Berlin?” Graham asked Bash.
Now, before you shrug your own shoulders, make note that Graham’s shifting support simply means he has been distracted by a shinier war object.
Meaning your taxpayer money is going to that cause célèbre next. If the border is the top priority it needs to be every Republican’s top priority.
America First, not Ukraine First. Not Israel First.
X CEO Elon Musk previously blasted American politicians on both sides of the aisle for caring about securing Ukraine’s border more than our own.
“Why do so many American politicians from both parties care 100 times more about the Ukraine border than the USA border?” he openly wondered.
Up until this past weekend’s comments, Graham fell into that category. Will he make good on his word?
Pressure is incoming from the White House as White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan played the ol’ ‘fund Ukraine or you’re a Putin puppet’ card.
“A vote against supplemental funding for Ukraine will hurt Ukraine and help Russia,” Sullivan said. “It will hurt democracy and help dictators, and we think that that is not the right lesson of history and that every member Democrat and Republican should vote to support this.”
A vote for funding Ukraine takes away from Americans. Maybe that should be this administration’s main concern.
