While performing in Las Vegas last weekend, the radically liberal singer Bono from the band U2 dedicated his song “All I Want Is You” to the First Lady Jill Biden.
Bono Dedicates Song To Jill Biden
Before performing his 1988 hit song “All I Want Is You,” Bono stopped his show to say that he wanted to dedicate it to “one woman in particular,” who turned out to be Jill.
“This song, when we wrote it, I tried to write the lyrics from the point of view of the woman or the bride, in this case, which is pretty arrogant, I suppose,” explained Bono, 63. “That was a trick for me to get to the lyric I was playing on myself.”
“So tonight I want to dedicate it to all the great women in our lives,” he continued. “Our partners, our mothers, our daughters, all the women on the U2 crew, all the great women in our audience that we feel we know, and all the great women in parts of the world going through very difficult circumstances that we could never know.”
“And one woman in particular who’s with us tonight,” Bono concluded. “She’s a teacher, she’s your First Lady. So this is for Jill Biden. It’s a wedding song.”

Social Media Users Respond
Biden had flown to Las Vegas earlier that day for a campaign event aimed at women voters, according to The Hill. Unfortunately for both her and Bono, however, social media users let it be known that they were not fans of his dedication to her.
“I just threw-up in my mouth…” one user commented, according to Newsweek. Another added, “That guy is such a fraud.”
“so glad I decided not to go to the sphere…eewwe,” a third user wrote, with a fourth commenting, “Bono from U2 dedicate a song to Jill Biden well that’s all very nice but I don’t understand how so many of these seemingly intelligent people can actually believe what the left is selling what the left is selling is chaos nothing good about it.”
Bono has long been close personal friends with the Bidens. Last year, he was one of the 26 guests that the first lady invited to her husband’s State of the Union address.
“Each of these individuals were invited by the White House because they personify issues or themes to be addressed by the President in his speech, or they embody the Biden-Harris Administration’s policies at work for the American people,” her office told CNN at the time.

President Biden Honors Bono
In 2022, President Joe Biden honored Bono and the rest of U2 at the White House.
“From this Irish American president in a White House designed by Irish hands, thank you for all you have done and the way you lift people up,” President Biden said at the time, according to The Irish Times.
“To see each other, to see ourselves in one another, to unite in common cause – tonight we celebrate a truly exceptional . . . group of artists,” he continued. “At a moment we would do well to remember when there is too much hate, too much division and too much anger in America and, quite frankly, around the world, as [U2′s] song goes: “We are one, we are not the same, we get to carry each other.”
With President Biden more unpopular than ever, all Bono is accomplishing by gushing over his wife is showing the world just how out of touch with reality he really is. Bono can worship the Bidens all that he wants to, but it won’t do anything to help their chances of staying in the White House after this year.
