A recently published poll shows that the vast majority of Americans believe Christmas should be celebrated in public schools.

The news comes via Rasmussen Reports who asked nearly 1,000 respondents their thoughts on whether or not the holiday should be spotlighted in public schools.

The results show that a significant percentage of people feel it is acceptable for Christmas to be celebrated in their children’s institutions of learning.

The survey finds that 69% of American Adults believe Christmas should be celebrated in public schools. By contrast, only 16% disagree with that notion, while another 14% are not sure.

Christmas in Schools? Liberals Are Gonna Freak

News that a supermajority of Americans believe schools should celebrate Christmas will no doubt infuriate the vocal minority.

And they’ll cite tired references to the separation of church and state to make their argument against a major holiday from the religion this country was founded on being celebrated in our education system.

The argument is null and void.

The Supreme Court’s landmark 1971 ruling in Lemon v. Kurtzman established a legal test for gauging church-state separation under the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause.

However, the separation of church and state is something that was never intended to remove all references to religion from the public square. And yet, it is nonetheless cited in even the most mundane things atheists find offensive.

It’s not all bad news for godless liberals though.

That 69% represents a drop in the number of people who believe Christmas should be celebrated in public schools, down from 76% in 2021.

Democrat NYC Mayor Eric Adams Slams Separation of Church and State

One of the strongest arguments against the separation of church and state, believe it or not, was made recently by New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

The Democrat mayor sent liberals into a tizzy when he suggested removing prayer from our schools was responsible for a rise in gun violence.

“When we took prayers out of schools, guns came into schools,” Adams said at an Interfaith Breakfast in Manhattan earlier this year.

“Don’t tell me about no separation of church and state. State is the body. Church is the heart,” Adams continued. “You take the heart out of the body, the body dies.”

During the 2020 presidential campaign, then-candidate Joe Biden admitted he’d like to see the Islamic faith taught in public schools.

“I wish we taught more in our schools about the Islamic faith,” he yearned. “I wish we talked about all the great confessional faiths. It’s one of the great confessional faiths.”

Were separation advocates up in arms over the comments? No, but you can bet if he had replaced the words ‘Islamic faith’ with the ‘Bible’ they would have come out of the woodwork.
