Lil Nas, a gay rapper who has been known to promote Satanism in the past, is now saying that he is in his “Christian era” with his latest song.

‘Y’All Mind If I Enter My Christian Era?’

On Wednesday night, Lil Nas took to social media to share a clip of him singing his new Christian song.

“Y’all mind if i enter my christian era?” the 24 year-old rapper captioned the clip, which features him singing his latest song while sitting in a car.

“Father, stretch my hands,” he sings. “The lonely road seems to last the longest / Help me with my plans / Everything seems to go to nowhere / Oh, free me from worry and wanting pity / Free me from all this envy in me / I don’t want these feelings / I don’t want these feelings / I call on angels / I’m trying hard to face my pain, yeah / Give me hope when I feel / Give me hope when I feel less.”

Hours later, Lil Nas sent a brutal message to critics who may have an issue with him creating Christian music.

“Making Christian music does not mean I can’t suck d**k no more,” he wrote on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. “The two are not mutually exclusive. I am allowed to get on my knees for multiple reasons.”

Lil Nas’ ‘Satan Shoes’

Back in 2021, Lil Nas made headlines when he announced the debut of his altered Nike “Satan Shoes,” which contained human blood. NBC News reported that Lil Nas only put 666 pairs of the shoes on sale for $1,018 per pair, and they immediately sold out. This price was a reference to the Bible passage Luke 10:18 that reads: “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven,” according to CNN.

Nike was quick to deny any involvement in this.

“We do not have a relationship with Little Nas X or MSCHF,” Nike said in a statement. “Nike did not design or release these shoes and we do not endorse them.”

These #SatanShoes by #Nike & #LilNasX with 666 and a drop of human blood in the sole is a reason why we Christians must be prayed up ready to battle in the spirit with the Voice of the Holy Spirit. This is evil & heresy and I pray that Christians rise up against this. pic.twitter.com/u7CK3NCIy7

Lil Nas Doubles Down – Franklin Graham Responds

Despite the backlash, Lil Nas stood by the shoes.

“I spent my entire teenage years hating myself because of the sh** y’all preached would happen to me because I was gay,” the rapper wrote in an open letter to his younger self about coming out as gay. “So I hope u are mad, stay mad, feel the same anger you teach us to have towards ourselves.”

Samaritan’s Purse head Franklin Graham Jr., the son of legendary evangelist Franklin Graham, publicly rebuked the “Satan Shoes,” calling them “a dangerous marketing endeavor.”

“The morals in this country have fallen so fast, and many times the entertainment industry is leading the way,” he wrote on Facebook. “The Word of God says, ‘And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell’ (Matthew 10:28). Hell is a real place, and so is the eternal torment of those who reject Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.”

While we would certainly love to see a young man like Lil Nas find God, it’s difficult to take anything he says about faith seriously, given his history. Only time will tell if Lil Nas is really turning over a new leaf when it comes to Christianity.
