The Hollywood star Chris Pratt of Jurassic World and Guardians Of The Galaxy fame took to social media earlier this month to reveal that he listens to Mark Wahlbergās āBible in a Yearā podcast, and that he has already reached day 221 of it.

āHereās what I was listening to on my run portion Bible in a Year Podcast,ā Pratt, 44, wrote on his Instagram Story. āHave loved using the Hallow App! What a great job, Mark Wahlberg!ā
āItāll probably be more like Bible in a year and a half but Iām doing my best,ā he added.
The āBible In A Yearā podcast is presented by Ascension Press, whose website states that in it, āFr. Mike Schmitz guides you through theĀ entire BibleĀ in 365 episodes.ā

Father Schmitz reportedly serves as the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry for the Diocese of Duluth and as Chaplain for the Newman Catholic Campus Ministry at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Prattās shoutout to Wahlberg was a reference to the Father Stu star teaming up with the Hallow app to create content for it.

Prattās Christian Faith
Pratt has long been one of the only openly Christian stars in Hollywood. While accepting the Generation Award at the MTV Movie and TV Awards back in 2018, he famously told his fans that āGod is real.ā
āGod is real. God loves you. God wants the best for you. Believe that. I do,ā he said. āLearn to pray. Itās easy and itās so good for your soul.ā
Last year, Pratt defended his strong Christian faith.
āI sure do but thatās nothing new, thatās nothing new, you know?ā Pratt toldĀ Page SixĀ when asked about the backlash that he has received for being a believer in God.
āIf I was of this world, they would love me just like that but as it is, Iāve chosen out of this world. Thatās John 15:18 through 20,ā Pratt continued.Ā āThatās the way it is, nothing new, 2,000 years ago they hated him, too.ā
Pratt has previously said that he found God when he was a rebellious teenager thanks to a stranger.
āIn Maui, about four weeks before I was discovered to go to California, I was hanging with my buddy. I wasnāt quite old enough to drink, so we got somebody to go in and buy us some alcohol. This guy came by and was like, āWhat are you doing tonight?āā Pratt toldĀ EsquireĀ in 2012.Ā
āHe was like, āI stopped because Jesus told me to stop and talk to you. He said to tell you youāre destined for great things.ā My friends came out, and I was like, āHey, Iām gonna go with this guy,’ā he continued. āI gave my soul to Jesus within, like, two days.ā

Wahlbergās Christian Faith
As for Wahlberg, heās also defended his faith in the wake of facing criticism for it.
āItās just the most important aspect of my life,ā he previously told Fox News. āItās the most important thing. Itās afforded me all the things that Iāve been able to accomplish in my life ā my faith, my discipline.ā
āItās not popular in my industry, but, you know, I cannot deny my faith,ā Wahlberg also acknowledged. āItās important for me to share that with people.ā
Itās rare to find celebrities who are brave enough to be open about their Christian faith these days. God bless both Pratt and Wahlberg for continuing to show the world that good Christians can be successful in Hollywood!
